George Robertson wins the April 2024 round of N Photo’s Photographer of the Year Competition

This competition encompasses the search for the World’s Best Nikon Photographer of 2024. George’s winning image was Girl In The Window. The judges commented that the image was bursting with character. “The little girl is looking out of the window of a tram. We like how the condensation and raindrops are used to funnel the viewer towards her eyes, as well as the fun and very natural pose of her clutching her teddy. The soft light prevents harsh shadows across the face, too. Overall, this a charming portrait”.

This picture and further details of the competition can be found in the April 2024 edition of Nikon’s N Photo magazine Page 76.

MBCC win Annual Tie with Hub Singer

On Tuesday 20th February MBCC retained the trophy in front of a packed CEC. In the first half MBCC won the Print competition but after the break Hub Singer stormed back to take the PDI competition. In extra time the total points were assessed and MBCC declared the winners.

A special thanks from both teams were given to our judge on the evening Libby Smith as well as to everyone who were involved in the teas, coffees and excellent fayre at the break.
