The Community Facilities Users Association (Bearsden & Milngavie) – CFUA
On the 25th of November 2019, the CFUA was formed as a constitutional organisation to campaign for the development of good public facilities in Bearsden and Milngavie. The association is for anyone “with an interest in letting or using facilities in premises provided by East Dunbartonshire Council within Bearsden & Milngavie and who support the purpose, aims and values of the organisation.”
The Objects of the CFUA are described in the organisation’s constitution as follows:
a. To advance the accessibility of recreational, educational & childcare facilities
which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with
the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community.
b. To ascertain, co-ordinate and express the views of the Members that we
represent to EDC, its elected Councillors and other organisations where
a. To liaise with other community groups within the area
b. To take such action in the interests of the Members as appears to it to be
desirable and practicable.
c. To be a means whereby the Members shall be able to voice their opinions on
matters affecting their lets and/or use of EDC Community Facilities.
d. To ensure Members are Informed about proposed EDC developments plans that
may affect their lets and/or usage of Community Facilities.
a. Membership shall be open to anyone who has an interest in assisting the

c. Group Membership: This is for Clubs / Groups / Organisations that use EDC
community facilities. They will nominate a representative who will be the point
of contact for their organisation.
