The FIAP, translated into English as the International Federation of Photographic Art is an international organisation that unites national photographic associations in 91 countries and represents around 1 million photographers. FIAP defines the rules and definitions for our competitive photography in Scotland and further afield. They hold salons in many different countries and photographers are encouraged to enter and gain acceptances and awards that that will be counted towards membership.
In this years competition, held in Turkey, George Robertson won a FIAP Gold Medal in the City/City Life section. His image, New York City Skyline At Night, came first out of 648 images from around the world. George’s image can be viewed in the National Recognition Section of the website.
