Margaret Campbell

My photography started at age 10 with a Box Brownie camera, recording family holidays. Later I used my father’s old prewar cameras and a Halina camera with print film and slides. Buying a zoom compact in 1988 re-ignited my interest in photography and I then got an SLR, followed, somewhat reluctantly, by a digital SLR. Much as I loved film, I discovered that with a computer and Photoshop, I could take my photography a stage farther by ‘painting’ with the images and then printing them myself. I took Open College of the Arts courses in photography, then joined Milngavie and Bearsden Camera Club. I am also a member of the Scottish Photographic Circle and of the Royal Photographic Society, and gained an Associateship (ARPS) in 2010.
