I’ve had an interest in photography and cameras for as long as I can remember but until retirement a few years ago have had little time to devote to it. If asked, my area of interest would be mainly landscape, but I’m particularly drawn towards the vast range of textures to be found in materials, faces, decrepit buildings, landscapes, etc. I find I’m more and more attracted to the discipline and advantages of black & white, including infra-red. I use two Sony mirrorless full frame cameras, one of which is converted to infra-red, and for travelling light I have a Fujifilm X100V. I generally process in Lightroom, with the occasional excursion into Photoshop. While I have no experience of competitions, I hope to at least enter the fray with a few images and learn from the challenges.
