Congratulations go to both Neil MacGregor and George Robertson for having images shortlisted in consecutive Scottish Nature Photography Awards. Neil’s image, ‘The Puffins And The Turbines’ was taken on the Isle Of May and was Shortlisted in the Environmental Category. In environmental terms this image strikingly depicts the battle between our endangered natural environment and raw economic policy.
George had 2 images, Snowdrops and Urban Mushrooms shortlisted in the Botanical Category. All 3 images feature in the National Recognition Section and will appear in the SNPA Yearbook later in the year.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards celebrate nature, wildlife and landscape photography in Scotland.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards Photographic Competition was launched in 2010 to provide a platform to celebrate Scotland as a key destination for nature photographers and to acknowledge the excellence of the photographic work that is undertaken here through the award of the title of “Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year”. The annual competition invites entries of images taken in Scotland by professional or amateur photographers from around the world.
