The Scottish Photographic Federation are currently campaigning for new speakers and judges as many have retired from the local circuit whilst existing judges and speakers are over stretched. In respect of new speakers an excellent entry point to develop your presentation skills is of course at MBCC and thereafter you would be welcomed at other venues. Denis joined just a few days ago and is already up and running in respect of registration, including access to the Members Section of the website. George Robertson has been crowned Mountain Photographer of the Year 2024 by Trail Magazine. Judges reviews included Nadir Khan – ‘ A beautiful moment in the mountains captured. On the 26th we hosted our 2nd Club Competition for Prints and PDIs. On the evening we were joined by guest judge Guy Phillips who gave an excellent and constructive critique of all our entries. Results are now published in the Competitions Section.

Congratulations and a special shout out goes to Jacki Clark and Iqbal Bedi who now have their own Galleries up and running in the Galleries Section. Jacki and Iqbal both joined the Club at the start of the 2024/5 season.
