On the 28th we welcome Guest Speaker Graeme Barclay to the Club. His talk is titled Street Photography – The Journey.This is Graeme’s journey through street photography, from very basic candid portraiture, interaction with subjects, leading on to creative street photography using a 8mm fisheye lens.
This was our first League Competition of the current season featuring both prints and digital images. We would like to give thanks to our our guest judge Tracy Ross (Irvine) for her guidance and adjudication during the evening.
This was our first Members Night with the following 4 members presenting – Duncan McCallum on African Travels, Ian Watt on 4 Motor Museums Around Europe, Derek Manson on Total Eclipse and Malcolm Boddie on Sailing. On the 7th we welcomed back Paul McDougall to the Club. He once again delivered an excellent wildlife presentation – Capturing moments in wildlife photography – What are moments, recognising moments and capturing moments.
Last Spring John Hannah presented ’20 Wildlife Locations Around Glasgow’. His talk included maps, hints and tips, and most importantly images of the species to be found at each location. John has kindly agreed for us to replicate his presentation at the top of the Hints & Tips Section of the Website.
As part of the new season development of Member Profiles, we now have a major update from George Robertson within the Password Protected Gallery of Members. As you would expect, this is a comprehensive profile covering George’s camera equipment, skills, achievements, specialisms etc. In respect of his world wide geographical travels alone George has 16 individual listings including Iceland, Pakistan, Singapore and Vietnam.
Despite an earlier hand in date being published, David has confirmed that the final hand in date for the above competition is not until Tuesday 7th October.
This is just to remind members that the Hand In For The 1st League Competition is Tuesday 30th September. The competition itself will take place 3 weeks later on Tuesday 21st October. A direct link to Photoentry remains on our homepage.
