David Muir Gains Latest Shortlisting in APOY 2025

Congratulations to David Muir for gaining an Expert Shortlisting as APOY 2025 moves into its final weeks. His image Kelpies In Transition  is an excellent capture within this latest theme – Night & Low Light. It can now be viewed in all its glory here at the top of the National Recognition Section

This was a Members Night where Club members showcased their images from a set theme of their own choice.

New Member Malcolm Creates Member Profile

Malcolm Lindsay is the latest member to create a Profile in the Gallery Of Members in the Members Area. He is a Hasselblad and Canon user. Amongst his photographic interests is the buying, research and selling of photographic collections. Key to this is a 25,000 archive of negatives and magic lantern slides mainly dating from the early 20th century and even before. Welcome to the Club Malcolm!

Neil Hosts First November Meeting – Within The Light

On Tuesday 4th November our very own Neil MacGregor presented to the Club on the subject of Within The Light. His talk focussed on searching for light in landscape and wildlife photography. Over the evening this included a mixture of nature, landscapes and small summer projects  

1st League Competition 2025/6

Our 1st Competition of the season took place at the Club on 21st October 2025. Congratulations go to Derek Manson for winning the print competition with Kingfisher Supper and in respect of the PDI competition, congratulations go to Ian Mitchell with On Eastbourne Pier. Next Meeting – Tuesday 28th October

On the 28th we welcome Guest Speaker Graeme Barclay to the Club. His talk is titled Street Photography – The Journey.This is Graeme’s journey through street photography, from very basic candid portraiture, interaction with subjects, leading on to creative street photography using a 8mm fisheye lens.

Tuesday 14th October 2025

This was our first Members Night with the following 4 members presenting – Duncan McCallum on African Travels, Ian Watt on 4 Motor Museums Around Europe, Derek Manson on Total Eclipse and Malcolm Boddie on Sailing. Prior to these presentations we welcomed Hannah Mills to the Club. Hannah is a volunteer ranger from Friends of Milngavie Reservoir (FoMR) who discussed their current project.
