Paul McDougall – Tuesday 7th October

On the 7th we welcomed back Paul McDougall to the Club. He once again delivered an excellent wildlife presentation – Capturing moments in wildlife photography – What are moments, recognising moments and capturing moments.

20 Wildlife Locations Around Glasgow

Last Spring John Hannah presented ’20 Wildlife Locations Around Glasgow’. His talk included maps, hints and tips, and most importantly images of the species to be found at each location. John has kindly agreed for us to replicate his presentation at the top of the Hints & Tips Section of the Website.

Major Profile Update from George

As part of the new season development of Member Profiles, we now have a major update from George Robertson within the Password Protected Gallery of Members. As you would expect, this is a comprehensive profile covering George’s camera equipment, skills, achievements, specialisms etc. In respect of his world wide geographical travels alone George has 16 individual listings including Iceland, Pakistan, Singapore and Vietnam.  

REMINDER – 1st League Competition

This is just to remind members that the Hand In For The 1st League Competition is Tuesday 30th September. The competition itself will take place 3 weeks later on Tuesday 21st October. A direct link to Photoentry remains on our homepage.

On 30th September we were entertained by in-house speakers Margaret Campbell and Elaine Prior. Margaret presented on My Cyanotype Project – How I went about learning about cyanotypes. Elaine presented on her latest expedition – Lake Nakuru, Samburu & Lake Naivasha 

Jonnie Wins MBCC Golf

In an extremely close encounter Johnnie Adam won our inaugural Golf outing on Wednesday 17th September at Balmore Golf Club. Derek Manson took 3rd place just 1 point behind Ian English in 2nd. Jonnie in turn took 1st place just a solitary point ahead of Ian. A big thank you to Balmore for hosting and to all that took part.
