Club Constitution Version 14
Following agreement at the AGM of the 2024/5 season the Club Constitution was amended and is now available to view in the Members Section. The main update centred around changes to Section 2 – OBJECTIVES.

George’s ‘Glacial River’ image has taken gold in the Landscape Section of the Chianti Roads International Photo Contest in Fiorentini, Italy. George had previously gained recognition with this image in the 2023 Shrewsbury Open Photography Exhibition where it was awarded a PAGB Silver Selector’s Medal. The image can be viewed in the National Recognition Section and also here.
Ian has just recently created a Member Profile which can now be viewed in the Members Section – Gallery of Members.
Having recently submitted her own personal gallery Isobel has followed this up with her own Member Profile which can be viewed in the Members Section – Gallery of Members.
In addition to George Robertson and Dik MacFarlane’s winning images from the Annual Competition there now features images from Ian Tully, Margaret Campbell, Tom Lowe, Malcolm Boddie, Colin Waudby, Diane Smillie, Alex Easton and David Bland
Congratulations go to both Neil MacGregor and George Robertson for having images shortlisted at this year’s Scottish Nature Photography Awards. Neil’s image, Queens View Abandonment was accepted in the Environmental Category and shows an abandoned caravan dumped and vandalised in the car park at the Queens View beauty spot on the Stockiemuir Road. George’s image, Sunrise on the Glazert Walkway, was shortlisted in the Urban Greenspace Category. Both images can now be viewed in the National Recognition Section and also here.
This was our final meeting of the 2024 season. It was our AGM & Annual Dinner and took place place at Douglas Park Golf Club. Details and documentation relating to the evening’s events will be published shortly.
The FIAP, translated into English as the International Federation of Photographic Art is an international organisation that unites national photographic associations in 91 countries and represents around 1 million photographers. FIAP defines the rules and definitions for our competitive photography in Scotland and further afield. They hold salons in many different countries and photographers are encouraged to enter and gain acceptances and awards that that will be counted towards membership.
