On the 11th February we look forward to an international presentation from our very own Diane Smillie. The theme of the evening will be Exploring Mongolia – Eagle Festivals, Reindeer herders and Nomadic families.

This was a Members Evening at the Club including talks by Kenny Allan and George Robertson. George’s talk was a practical demonstration of solving some common Photographic Competition issues. Kenny presented an array of wildlife pictures from his recent international travels.

A big shout out to new members Denis Taylor, Fraser MacInnes and Andy Gillies for gaining recognition in this month’s Black and White Competition. Denis achieved a Highly Commended for Protector whilst gaining a Commended for Family. Andy received a Commended for A Good Few Miles On The Clock whilst Fraser gained a Commended for Ethereal Drift, Isle Of Harris. Tuesday 28th featured our 3rd Competition of the current season. Our judge for the evening was  David Spinks

The above Exhibition is currently running till the 27th February and is well worth a visit .It is taking place at the Auld Kirk Museum, Cowgate, Kirkintilloch G66 1HN and admission is free. It is open Tuesdays through to Saturdays from 10.00 till 13.00 and then 14.00 till 17.00

Members who have their own Galleries, and achieved 1st,2nd, 3rd, Highly Commended or Commended in the above competitions, have had their Galleries updated. These latest images appear at the top of members respective Galleries. Remember Jack is readily available to create new or update existing Galleries.

We were joined by Guest Speaker  David Queenan talking on the theme of Time For Photography. His excellent presentation was mainly landscape photography with the emphasis on staying local to make the best use of spare time to fit photography around a busy work and family schedule. https://dqphotography.com/about
